Foreign
Targets is assisting Inwood’s export initiatives with FTI’s Core 8-Steps
to Effective Export Management. Most notably, FTI has secured
distribution throughout Mexico and other Latin American markets, and is
looking for sales representatives in other key export destinations.
While Inwood
is evolving in its type and breadth of product line, the business is still
family-owned and enjoys a stable and loyal work force, now numbering 175
employees.
High-end quality at
a mid market price-point, sturdy export packaging and specially designed
furniture are all key competitive advantages for Inwood. Construction
includes vertical grain match for the fronts and drawers, and chassis
construction is the mortise and tenon / grove and tenon type with glue
block. Systems are either wood veneer or laminate.

offering.
Showcased and introduced last year at Neocon in Chicago, the Progeny
Collection was designed by Zooey Chu, the well-known furniture designer
from Grand Rapids.

Progeny is a project-focused collection for both
private office and open plan environments.
The collection was entered in Design Journal’s
Best of Show and won the 2001 Best of Show in the Office Furniture
category.
